I’m passionate about portrait photography!
In 2023 alone, I photographed, edited and delivered upwards of 1,500 portraits - goodness knows how many images I took to select the ones worthy of a Lightroom edit!
I’ve dedicated the past 12 years of professionally honing my skills as a portrait photographer and consider it part of my job to make you feel comfortable and relaxed in front of my camera. Let’s face it, actors and models aside, most people would rather visit the dentist than pose for a picture! I understand it can be uncomfortable, so you’re in safe hands.
For many many years, I was proud to be a natural-light-only advocate but several years ago, I realised my business was too important to me to rely solely on natural light (or lack thereof). Since then, I have spent time, energy and determination seeking out the best soft lighting equipment to create a natural light-look in my portraits and product photography.

Portrait Mini Sessions £125pp
I often hire a large studio space local to the Goudhurst area to host Portrait Mini Sessions - this is where a group of friends can get together for a personal portrait session between a leisurely catch up over pastries and coffee. It works well for sibling shoots, collaborations and NCT groups -we can organise baby pottery of hands and footprints to make a lovely morning get-together with beautiful keepsakes. Your session includes 5 digital images of your choice all in high resolution. Additional digital files and high resolution large format prints may be purchased separately. Message me @alitusonphotographs to request one of these sessions. I would kindly request between 3-5 guests per mini session.
Portrait Package £315
Let me know the occasion you’d like to capture and we’ll get our heads together on a plan for your shoot. We can take the photos at your place, or mine, or I can hire a roomy studio space locally. Your Portrait package includes a pre-shoot consultation including any styling advice, my experience, all of my equipment, lighting and backdrops on the day, two hours of photography, all post production including flattering enhancements, and 10 digital files of your choice, all in high resolution. Additional digital files and high resolution large format prints may be purchased separately.
I travel within Kent, Sussex, Surrey and beyond, so if you would like to arrange a Portrait photoshoot with me then do get in touch. Mileage is chargeable outside of my local area, as is studio hire.
